Cara Schmitt

Project Officer / Technical Advisor

Cara joined the BILT Team in January 2022 as Project Officer at the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Trainining (BIBB). She is responsible for the “Bridging Line” of the Project and, in this context, for organizing the BILT Bridging events as well as consolidating the network community to enable peer-learning.

Prior to joining the project team, Cara worked at the National Agency “Education for Europe” at BIBB which implements the Erasmus+ programme in Germany in the field of VET and adult education. She has several years of experience in monitoring and evaluating Erasmus+ projects. In this regard, she contributed to providing transnational mobility and learning opportunities for VET students as well as supporting internationalization and institutional development of VET providers. Cara holds joint degrees in Franco-German Studies: Crossborder Communication and Cooperation from France, Luxembourg and Germany.
