Innovation and Learning Practices

In the context of the BILT project, an Innovation and Learning Practice is a new approach that makes TVET more relevant to the needs of the economy, society and the environment. They address current challenges related to global trends in TVET systems in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.

The publications portray initiatives that belong to one of the BILT work streams: New Qualifications and Competencies in TVET, Greening TVET, Digitalization in TVET, Entrepreneurship in TVET, or Migration and TVET. They offer a learning opportunity for other TVET stakeholders, with the possibility to adapt and replicate key elements of the approach in their specific context.

In the first phase of the BILT project, only initiatives from Europe have been published. In 2021 the focus is on identifying and publishing Innovation and Learning Practices from Africa as well as Asia and the Pacific. Stay tuned for our new releases!

Empleando Digital

Technology is significantly changing the labour market. New professions require new skills and competencies, and traditional jobs are changing to include digital elements. In this context, people lacking the awareness of those changes and without access to skills training are negatively impacted when it comes to searching for employment. For vulnerable populations, this is an acute problem. As a response to the skills mismatch encountered by migrants and vulnerable populations compared to what local industry requires, the Empleando Digital project addresses this imbalance by providing skills training and employment opportunities that contribute towards social and economic inclusion.
