Cometa, a UNEVOC Centre, hosted the BILT Bridging Event for Europe from 22 to 24 April 2024 in Como, Italy. The event provided a platform for international policy learning, knowledge exchange, innovation transfer and networking among TVET policy-makers, practitioners and researchers.

BILT Learning Lab - 'Equitable, excellent, empowering: Innovative TVET in hospitality'
Taking two examples from the hospitality sector, this BILT Learning Lab aims to explore how to create inclusive settings, based on holistic approaches that extend beyond the classroom and in which ways inclusive TVET programmes can prepare students for structural changes in both regional and global economies.

BILT Learning Forum: Shaping skills development and strengthening global collaboration in TVET
The Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) project held a learning forum on ‘Striving for excellence: Shaping skills development and strengthening global collaboration in TVET’. Almost 400 participants joined on-site and online to explore innovative TVET practices and discuss policies that support excellence in TVET.

BILT Learning Lab: How Tourism Training Australia is creating flexible learning pathways in TVET through micro-credentials
This Learning Lab will take place on 26 October 2023, 9:10 – 10:45 CEST, as part of the BILT Learning Forum. It will focus on Tourism Training Australia's micro-credential platform and its use of AI to target potential students and their learning needs, followed by a regional panel discussion on the role of micro-credentials across Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.

Since March 2023, an Expert Group commissioned by the Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) project has been investigating the impact of the dual green and digital transition on the hospitality and tourism sector. The global BILT Learning Forum was an opportunity for the Expert Group to present a summary of its key outcomes.

The Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) hybrid event on TVET for hospitality and tourism provided a platform for outlining trends in green and digital competencies in the sector. The conference was hosted by Temasek Polytechnic and co-hosted by the Singapore Ministry of Education on 26-28 June 2023.

In 2023, the BILT project has a new focus on the impact of the green and digital transition on skills needs for the hospitality and tourism sector and the TVET system. In this context, a BILT Expert Group, composed of 29 members from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, will investigate the implications of this dual transition.

Young Africa – Embracing equal opportunities for women in TVET both online and offline
On the occasion of International Women's Day, this BILT Learning Lab was organized in cooperation with Young Africa to explore the theme of youth unemployment as it relates to women in TVET. The webinar explored ways that TVET providers can help to overcome the barriers preventing young women from continuing their education and build the foundation needed for them to not only be successful in the workplace, but also in life.

BILT Learning Labs are an opportunity for TVET stakeholders to explore specific 'Innovation and Learning Practices' from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.
