UNESCO-UNEVOC organizes consultation workshop on regional plan of action 2013
From 18 to 21 March 2013, the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre organized a consultation workshop on the "Regional Plan of Action 2013" at the Centre’s premises in Bonn, Germany.
Interagency working group on greening TVET meets to discuss post-DESD framework
On 6 March 2013, UNESCO-UNEVOC attended the second meeting of the interagency working group (IWG) on greening TVET and skills development via video conference.

Expert meeting on TVET teacher education in Southeast Asia
From 25 to 28 December, an expert meeting was organized by SEAMEO VOCTECH with the support of UNESCO-UNEVOC and Rajabhat Universities Network.
Expert workshop on the World TVET Database
Representatives of the UNEVOC team, UNEVOC centres in the Netherlands, Germany and Norway and partner agencies joined together to discuss, evaluate and provide feedback on the future development of the World TVET Database.
Regional workshop on entrepreneurship education in Kingdom of Bahrain
The workshop, held from 10 to 12 December 2012, was organized to enhance cooperation between Arab countries, and to share experiences on policies and programmes for the integration of entrepreneurship education in both secondary education and TVET.
UNESCO-UNEVOC extends support to a regional training programme for principals in Asia-Pacific
From 3 to 7 December 2012, Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore and in collaboration with UNESCO-UNEVOC, held a regional training programme for principals and government officials at the ITE College West in Singapore.
Regional expert meeting on vocationalisation of secondary education
The expert meeting, held from 3 to 4 December 2012, discussed the trends of TVET provision at the secondary level and provided the opportunity to exchange practices and lessons learned from a number of countries.

HEART Trust hosts symposium on TVET for Transformation and Economic Development

Bridging the gap between innovation, and education and skills development A lively discussion on how different stakeholders, policy makers, entrepreneurs and researchers can work together in creating an enabling environment to bridge the gap between innovation, education and skills development.
Establishing vocational training centre in South Sudan A discussion on the proposed establishment of a vocational training centre in South Sudan with the aim of improving livelihoods of youths and local community. The discussion also touched upon the gender imbalance of vocational education and training.
Potential of Vocational Pedagogy in Skills Training A discussion on the proposal of a case study on the potential of vocational pedagogy in the training of agriculture students. Suggestions were given by members on the scope of the research and on the need to clarify the definition of pedagogy.
How to teach vocational education: A theory of vocational pedagogy? Triggered by the CSD publication on vocational pedagogy, members questioned whether it is necessary to build a pedagogy theory for vocational education and how the theory can contribute to improving vocational education. Members acknowledged the difficulty identifying the relevant theories that guide the development of quality textbooks for TVET.

On 19 February 2013 UNESCO-UNEVOC welcomed Dr Andre Kraak, an independent education research consultant from South Africa.
