On 10-12 August 2005, TVET experts from around Asia came together for an international conference on Integrating Sustainable Development Issues into TVET: Poverty Alleviation and Skills for Employability, Citizenship and Conservation in Asia and the Pacific. The objectives of the two-day conference were to exchange knowledge, experiences and best practices in integrating sustainable development issues into TVET.
The discussions focused on two themes:
UNESCO-UNEVOC, the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) Thailand, and the Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC) jointly hosted the meeting.
A CD-ROM containing the presentations of the conference has recently been published and is available free-of-charge from UNESCO-UNEVOC at order(at)unevoc.unesco.org.
