Training enabling individuals to acquire new skills giving access either to a new occupation or to new professional activities.

This term is close to, but not synonymous with: upskilling.
Training to facilitate entry to a new occupation.
Retraining enables individuals to improve their existing knowledge and skills or to acquire new ones, whether for their current jobs or occupations, or for new ones.
Training for acquisition of skills and knowledge required in practicing an occupation other than the one for which the person was originally trained. It may require training specialization.
