World Youth Skills Day 2019: Learning to learn for life and work
Every year on July 15, UNESCO-UNEVOC joins global celebrations to mark World Youth Skills Day and spread awareness about the importance of youth skills development. Designated by the United Nations General Assembly, the day is an opportunity to highlight the achievements of young people who have benefitted from skills training and call for increased access to quality training and skills development for youth around the globe. Winners of the Skills in Action Photo Competition 2019
UNESCO-UNEVOC invited photographers from around the world to capture unique moments highlighting Skills in Action. The more than 350 submissions focused on how TVET is empowering young people in their communities according to three thematic priority areas.

2019 UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme
The 2019 UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme was launched on June 24 at the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre in Bonn, Germany. Now in its fourth year, the Programme brings together 24 mid- to senior-level TVET leaders from UNEVOC Centres and other institutions around the world in a highly engaging environment over the course of two weeks. Guided self-assessment workshop held in Malta
UNESCO-UNEVOC kicked off its first workshop aimed at pilot testing the Skills for Innovation Hubs ( i-hubs) framework. This framework was developed to assess the current state of innovation in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions and draw ideas for future development. (ver más)

UNESCO-UNEVOC Virtual conference on Inclusion in technical and vocational education and training

UNEVOC Network Collaborative research: Community engagement in TVET
This collaborative study, led by Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles (UNEVOC Centre - Canada), looks at how community engagement is carried out in UNEVOC Centres across the UNEVOC Network’s five regions: Africa, Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean. Work-based Learning as a Pathway to Competence-based Education (A UNEVOC Network Contribution)
We are pleased to announce the release of a new publication by German UNEVOC Centre BIBB. Through the contributions of UNEVOC Centres from around the world, this publication provides an analysis of the different dimensions and characteristics of work-based learning and gives a global perspective on WBL as a pathway to delivering competence-based education.
