Founded in 1942, SENAI is one of the most important institutions in the country providing formal training for Brazilian industry professionals. Currently SENAI has 28 thousand employees aiming to increase competitiveness of the Brazilian Industry, through technical and vocational education and industrial innovation and technology.

With 744 operational units in all 27 states of the Union, SENAI offers more than 1,800 courses and in 2013 had over 3,4 million enrolments in vocational and technological training courses.

SENAI does professional qualification actions since its foundation and has already trained over 64.7 million workers throughout Brazilian territory. Such result was possible only because SENAI bets in differentiate and innovative educational formats going beyond the traditional on-site education model in its 518 schools and 504 movable schools in 2.7 thousand brazilian cities. SENAI also capacitates and trains professionals in distance learning courses, available 24/7 to the student.

SENAI has partnership with 70 international organizations, including UNESCO, ILO, WorldSkills and CINTERFOR – Inter-American Centre for Knowledge Development in Vocational Training.

SENAI’s mission is to defend and represent the industry in the promotion of a favorable environment for business, competitiveness and sustainable development in Brazil. Its vision is to be recognized as the leading business organization and main agent in the promotion of growth and competitiveness of the Brazilian industry and development of the country.
