Education That Pays For Itself 2013

From 22 to 24 October 2013, the San Francisco Agricultural School Paraguay will host the 7th Education That Pays For Itself 2013 conference with the theme “Linking Education, Employability and Enterprise in Cerrito, Paraguay. The event will bring together some of the world’s leading practitioners in financially sustainable education, along with educators, policymakers, business people, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs and NGOs from around the world, in a unique forum for learning, networking, inspiration and action. The 3-day event will provide the opportunity to learn and become part of a community that is transforming education in developing countries by integrating entrepreneurship and financial sustainability into the fabric of schools.

The San Francisco Agricultural School is a non-traditional boarding school run by Fundación Paraguaya who joined the UNEVOC Network in February 2013. They provide practical and relevant experiential learning for secondary technical education, forging a new generation of skilled rural entrepreneurs in the Cerrito region of Paraguay, and is sparking students' interest and desire to continue their education as well.
