Consultation workshop on the regional plan of action 2013 for Europe

On 17 April 2013 UNESCO-UNEVOC organized a Consultation Workshop on the Regional Plan of Action 2013 for Europe in Bonn, Germany. Cluster Coordinators and representatives from UNEVOC Centres in Germany, Norway and the Russian Federation gathered in Bonn to share their recent progress and activities since the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Forum held from 14 to 16 November 2012, and to finalize the Europe regional plan of action for 2013.

The participants discussed what steps should be taken to further strengthen the UNEVOC Network in the Europe region. Cluster Coordinators were asked to discuss regional priorities and challenges. During the workshop, participants agreed on the key themes to address this year, namely

  • youth and skills, with a specific focus on school-to-work transitions and entrepreneurship; and
  • greening TVET, with a specific focus on teacher training and curriculum development.
These themes will guide the work of the Cluster coordinators and the International Centre in collecting promising practices in this area, and towards the organization of a regional conference to be held later this year.
