GIZ joined the delegation.
The Global HRD Bureau of HRD Korea has been a member of the UNEVOC Network since 1995 and performs a key role in developing and managing the country’s human resources, in cooperation with the business community. HRD Korea recently established the Global Institute for Transferring Skills (GIFTS) to boost global human resources development through transferring advanced skills to potential skilled people in Korea and around the world. The delegation from GIFTS visited UNESCO-UNEVOC to learn more about its current work. They sought to renew ties with UNEVOC on behalf of the HRD Korea, a UNEVOC Member, with a reinvigorated mission to share Korea’s experiences in HRD to UNESCO member states, network with UNEVOC and its TVET community and extend development cooperation through GIFTS.
GIFTS, GIZ and UNESCO-UNEVOC also seek to explore opportunities for future trilateral cooperation in capacity development. The visit was organized following a recent conference on TVET teacher education organized jointly by GIZ, OVEC THAILAND, HRD Korea and UNESCO-UNEVOC.
