The Bureau of Vocational and Technical Education, which is a unit within the administrative structure of the Ministry of Education, is responsible for monitoring, management and coordination of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Liberia. It is also charged with the duties to initiate various forms of in-service training for TVET personnel, develop appropriate programmes, materials and curriculum. The Bureau also provides adequate information to the Deputy Minister for instruction and advise on the effective development and coordination of TVET activities in Liberia. The Bureau further insures that regular TVET training programmes for Junior and Secondary Institutions are provided to out-of-school youths, vulnerable groups with emphasis on gender equity.
