Bow Valley College

UNEVOC Centre (Training provider) since 2016

Bow Valley College (BVC) is the only public, comprehensive community institution in the Calgary area, specializing in delivering quality education and training programs for over 50 years. BVC offers high-quality, affordable and high in-demand disciplines such as business, creative technologies, health and community studies. BVC also offers fast-tracked programs with hands-on training to gain work experience during study and after graduation. BVC continues to have success in the marketplace serving the training needs of international companies and governments.

Most programs include work experience – an asset for making connections and earning practical knowledge – which increases employability, with 93% of BVC graduates finding employment in their field of study within six months of graduation. BVC strives to make students’ journey a smooth transition. Students are encouraged to help build the campus community through volunteering, enhancing public speaking and leadership skills and participating in diverse cultural celebrations. Many departments are dedicated to promoting a vibrant campus life and to supporting students as they adjust to their new life in Calgary.

To include all learners. To challenge our thinking. To remove barriers. To provide opportunity. To make all learning count.

We open doors and open minds by creating opportunities for learners, employees, employers, and communities, and by shaping the future of college education.

Respect • Inclusion • Creativity • Teamwork • Resilience

Learners achieve their goals and/or get the jobs they aim for in a field related to their studies.

The communities we serve are enriched through the efforts of our employees and learners.

Employers see us as the go-to resource for their labour force needs.

Partners and investors seek out relationships with us to support our mutual interests.

Shape the Future of College Education:

We are a leader in evolving how a college education is delivered, and in turn, influencing the overall direction

of college education in Alberta and beyond.

Provide Community and Social Success:

Our efforts support our learners to achieve their goals wherever that may be including at home, in their families, at work, and in their communities. As a result, we also play a role in supporting our

communities and the economic development of the many sectors that we serve.

Ensure Employment Success:

As a comprehensive community college, our primary focus is supporting our learners to find employment

success in the field of their choice or support their efforts to launch their own entrepreneurial initiatives.

This will provide value to our industry and sector partners by meeting their workforce needs and drive

economic development in our communities.

Regular tasks

Deliver Transformational Learning:

Education transforms people and their lives and we support this process by transforming how learning is provided.

Make All Learning Count:
