The Curriculum Unit supervises the delivery of technical and vocational education in the state. 100 teachers provide training for students in 22 secondary, 66 primary and one post-secondary institution. There are also 5 state-run multi-purpose centres and one private centre where technical and vocational education is taught. The EU is funding a project to upgrade the physical facilities and curriculum to create the necessary linkages with the private sector. This project also provides teacher training. The association for technical and vocational teachers and administrators was recently launched. This is all under the administration of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS).

The mission of the MoEYS is to provide all persons of the state lifelong learning opportunities appropriate to their developmental needs and to ensure quality of education that will equip them with the required values, skills, attitude and knowledge necessary for creating and maintaining a productive, innovative and harmonious society.
