UNEVOC Centre (Uni/Research) since 2012
The aim of the Centre is to further develop (taking into account best domestic and foreign experiences) the policy and practice of vocational education, which contribute to educating specialists of highest qualification who can demonstrate high level of key professional and cultural competences required by modern society.
The Centre perceives its mission in:
- strengthening and improving methodology of vocational education and training in the region;
- arranging scientific and research work and studying experience of other countries and regions in vocational training and labour market development in the Republic of Bashkortostan;
- providing people with wider access to projects aimed at skill development in order to implement article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as requirements and standards relating to vocational education and training;
- developing international cooperation, touching intellectual and spiritual innerside of a human, which shall allow forecasting long-term strategic answers to many challenges of the XXI century.
In 2008, BIST acquired the status of Resource Scientific and Educational UNESCO Centre of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It implemented joint projects with the associated UNESCO schools, organized and carried out International Scientific Conferences and round tables (including online ones), seminars and trainings for school teachers and TVET teachers.
The Institute develops actively the theme "Socio-cultural modernization of the educational and informational communicative field of the Bashkortostan Republic". In addition to this, the faculty of the institute researches the urgent problems of professional education system improvement, also carrying out the project "Innovative model of the Institute of Higher Education as a modern complex of interrelated scientific-educational centers and laboratories".
