Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) is a national research institute affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office which was established in 1997 for vitalization of vocational education and training (VET) and enhancement of the public’s vocational competencies.
Since its foundation, in order to support the public’s lifelong skills development, KRIVET has been conducting policy research and development in the field of education and employment, which are a necessary part of our daily lives, including Specialized high school, Meister high school and vocational college policies, employment expansion, reducing skills mismatch, development of National Competency Standards based curriculum, Work-Study Dual program and national qualification framework, evaluation of training programs, and provision of career information.
Its vision is to be a research institute realizing the stable life for all individuals. Its goal is to activate technical and vocational education and training through research on vocational competency and develop the capacity of citizens.
