T.A. Marryshow Community College
(TAMCC)

UNEVOC Centre (Training provider) since 2007

The T.A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) is the sole indigenous educational institution offering post-secondary, tertiary and further education in Grenada. It delivers its mandate through the operation of three schools: the School of Arts, Sciences and Professional Studies (SASPS), the School of Applied Arts and Technology (SAAT), and the School of Continuing Education (SCE).

The SAAT is referred to as the "TVET arm" of the College offering twelve (12) full-time TVET programmes at the certificate and Associate Degree levels. These programmes are offered to persons who wish to develop competencies in specific areas or to upgrade their knowledge and skills, and/or for those who plan to matriculate into universities and other institutions of higher education. Additionally, students are provided with applied learning opportunities through capstone projects, community service projects, regional and local internships/apprenticeships, and other related activities/events to promote experiential learning and the development of the whole person.

The SCE is the "outreach arm" of the college which offers education and training to non-traditional students. Training for skills development is done through the offering of short courses and programmes that are specifically designed based on market needs and emerging trends. Persons have the opportunity to pursue the Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQ), and other forms of internationally recognized certifications.

The SASPS is the largest school. In fact, it has a campus dedicated to training in general agriculture. It is also responsible for Teacher Education training and development.

Mission

The T. A. Marryshow Community College is a public tertiary institution committed to providing accessible quality education and training opportunities to help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals, and to effectively cater to the dynamic needs of the domestic, regional and global communities.

Objectives

The T. A. Marryshow Community College is the principal provider of tertiary level training, education and human resource development in our Tri-island State. It aspires to develop and nurture the creativity and productivity of the citizenry and to prepare individuals to fill the training gap needs as they become evident. It prepares individuals for fulfilling lives, rewarding careers and lifelong learning while being an advocate for the enhancement of communities.

As a tertiary institution, it will promote intellectual discourse, the development of well-informed citizens who critically analyze and respond to the challenges facing our society. It will produce research, scholarship, innovation and educational excellence.

The College will provide a wide range of excellent programmes leading to various levels of certification through the effective utilization of resources, science and technology, and high quality committed faculty and staff.
