The Government Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Unit is responsible for the co-ordination of technical and vocational education programmes in the secondary and upper levels of primary schools and conducts curriculum monitoring, teacher training, professional development and advising on TVET matters. Being the only unit for TVET, the Unit deals with the community and all agencies compatible for Technical/Vocational Education.
Its mission is to enable all learners to realize their full potential in their fields of interest by facilitating affordable, equitable quality educational experiences that empower them with the knowledge, skills, and values conducive to achieving successfully in a 21st century environment. It envisions an education system that shapes the development of a literate, numerate, skilled, life-long learner; one who is values-driven, globally adaptable and contributing meaningfully to the development of self, community, nation, and the region.
