Preah Kossomak Polytechnic Institute (PKPI) was established according to Sub-Decree No. 10 of the Royal Government of Cambodia dated October 24, 2001. Its vision is to become the best institute for training technical and vocational skills to develop human resources. It aims to expand both quantity and quality and efficiency for technical and business skills training to meet the needs of the labor market, both domestically and internationally. Its main area of activity and specialization focusses on developing skills standards for all courses (technology and business), complying with the need of Industries.
A) Formation: The Institute provides Multi-Level, Multi-Field education and training including:
-Master Degree in (Civil Construction, Electronic, Electricity, Business Administration)
-Engineering in (Civil Construction, Electronic, Electricity)
-Bachelor Degree in (Accounting, Marketing, Management)
-High Diploma in (Civil Construction, Electronic, Electricity)
-Associate Degree in (Accounting, Marketing, Management)
-Technical and Vocational in (Civil Construction, Electronic, Electricity)
B) Development Programme: Development programme is based on the skill standard development with modular and credit-based system of evaluation. Teachers and Instructors are retrained with the new technology. Teaching aids are prepared by teachers for teaching. The Training course is divided into three parts: theory, practice, and internship training programs. The curriculum is developed by a working group of teachers in its field and is changed depending on the industry or market needs. The quality of training is assured by testing, examination committee and accredit by the National Training Board.
