Internship – Publications

(published 10 April 2014)

The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Bonn is currently looking for an intern to assist in the area of publications and UNEVOC Network (Europe and North America).

Duties and responsibilities:

Supporting the publications and programme activities of UNEVOC through:

  • Providing administrative and editorial support to staff in all activities leading to a publication, in all stages of the publishing process, including assisting in communication with authors and external contractors
  • Maintaining the request management database and assisting with the dissemination of publications
  • Compiling and consolidating materials submitted for publications projects
  • Assisting in the development of programme activities related to the UNEVOC Network (Europe and North America Region)
  • Assisting with any other activities and research related to publications as need arises and according to the interests of the intern
Qualifications and experience:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, knowledge of other UN languages and German is an asset
  • Must be highly organized, analytical about processes, and willing to learn thoroughly
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Internet research
  • Interest in education and TVET
  • Advanced stage of university studies (Master’s degree students), preferably in languages, publishing, communications, international relations or education
  • Must be enrolled in University studies at the time of application.
Minimum duration of the internship: 3 months (full time).
Deadline for application: 25 April 2014 (Deadline extended to 7 May 2014)
Preferred starting date: May 2014.

The Centre does not provide remuneration for internships.
