Manish Joshi

Project Officer, Building TVET resilience for a just and sustainable transition

Manish joined UNESCO-UNEVOC in April 2022. He serves as Project Officer for the ‘Building TVET resilience for a just and sustainable transition’ project, and is responsible for managing its implementation and coordinating the monitoring of project activities.

Before joining UNESCO-UNEVOC, Manish was part of the Education Sector team at the UNESCO New Delhi Cluster Office (covering 6 countries in the sub-region), where he led the sector programming and activities for TVET and higher education. Prior to that, Manish served as the Deputy Head of International Collaboration at the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a public-private partnership under the aegis of the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where he was in charge of the overseas labour mobility programmes, and as an Assistant Director at The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship.

As a recipient of the German Chancellor Fellowship, he explored policy issues related to apprenticeship and work-based learning as a guest researcher at the German Federal Institute for VET (BIBB). Manish holds a bachelor's in Business Studies from Delhi University and a master's in Public Policy from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management as a Global Ambassador Scholar.
