Pooja Gianchandani works as a Programme Expert at the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre. She is an Expert on Loan from GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
As a key member of the private sector engagement team at UNESCO–UNEVOC, she is working on programme strategy and implementation. She is also responsible for strengthening the ongoing cooperation between UNEVOC, BMZ, GIZ and other affiliated institutions / agencies.
Prior to joining UNESCO-UNEVOC, Pooja worked in leadership positions in national and international institutions where she was a member of various multilateral / bilateral working groups /networks/fora to promote cooperation on vocational skills in South Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. She has implemented various work-based learning, youth employability, school-to-work transition programmes and been involved in the creation of qualification frameworks and sector skills councils as a TVET expert.
Pooja holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Delhi with a specialization in Corporate Social Responsibility from the World Bank Institute. She is also an AIZ Certified Advisor on Cooperation Management with Capacity WORKS.
