SEAMEO VOCTECH

SEAMEO VOCTECH is the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation's (SEAMEO) Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Training. It was established in 1990 in Brunei Darussalam as one of the Centres and Network of SEAMEO. It is mandated to assist the SEAMEO-member countries to identify and solve common problems in technical vocational education and training. To support its mandate, it undertakes activities in professional development, research and consultancy, and information dissemination.

SEAMEO VOCTECH created, manages and hosts SEA-VET.NET, the TVET platform for South-East Asia that aims to pull together all important TVET knowledge from Southeast Asia in one place, allowing TVET policy-makers to stay informed about the latest development across the entire region upon a single 'click'.

SEAMEO VOCTECH’s SEA-VET.NET initiative advances ‘Promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training’, one of the seven priority areas for SEAMEO for 2015-2035.
