The rector of the Univeristy of Management "TISBI", Nella Pruss, discusses the issue of staffing the economy branches at the meeting in Almetyevsk

The Ministry of Education of Tatarstan (Russia) together with a number of enterprises will create 25 resource centers for personnel training. Such big establishments as KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopter Plant, Kazan Aircraft Production Association, Sollers, TANECO, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Agroforce Group, the University of Management "TISBI" etc. have all joined the project.

The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting in the city of Almetyevsk on 17 December 2013.

The main topic of the meeting was staffing the economy branches. During the meeting the participants talked about the current state and future goals of the vocational education development in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The participants agreed on introducing the new technique of rating all educational institutions to expose their productiveness or the lack of it. Starting in 2014 each academic institution in the Republic of Tatarstan will be ranked and the ones with the lowest rankings will be studied and reformed if needed.

Among the distinguished participants of the event are: Shamil Ageev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan; Rashit Nizamov, rector of The Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE) and Nella Pruss, rector of the University of Management "TISBI".

It is noteworthy that Prof. Nella Pruss is the only rector of a non-state educational establishment that was invited to the meeting. All the points that were discussed at the meeting have already been implemented and practiced in the University of Management "TISBI”. More specifically, the University unites a number of educational institutions under one cluster (including academic institutions of primary and secondary vocational education). The University also engages the teaching staff in qualification upgrading courses and involves employers and recruiters in the academic process.
