Toolkits for TVET providers

This online platform was launched in 2022 (last update: May 2023) to provide TVET stakeholders and practitioners with information on, and access to, online, free-to-use toolkits. Multiple toolkits for TVET providers/practitioners have been, and continue to be, created. The purpose of such toolkits ranges from facilitating TVET providers' 'self-reflection' on aspects of their provision to quantitative performance assessments. Some toolkits have a thematic focus (e.g. on digitalization or greening) whereas others have an organizational focus. For some themes, there are multiple toolkits, for example to assess and/or reflect upon teacher/trainer training needs. The purpose of this database is to bring the many and varied toolkits into one place and to provide a guide and resource for:
  • TVET practitioners seeking a ready-made guide or self-assessment tool on themes such as digitalization, greening and inclusion; and
  • researchers and policy makers seeking to design new organizational assessment tools for their TVET providers.
In the table below, you can find a summary of the toolkits and a link to each one.

Tools to support TVET policy makers and education providers to plan and deliver inclusive TVET provision for persons with disabilities

This document has been developed as part of the VET Toolbox project. It aims at guiding policy makers and TVET college staff to improve the inclusiveness of TVET. Tool 1 concerns the policy level and aims at policy makers who intend to access the national TVET framework and get practical hints about how to improve inclusiveness for persons with disabilities. Tool 2 aims at TVET college staff. It introduces the concept of the “disability support unit” which has the role to advise and support TVET instructors, caregivers of learners with disabilities and students with disabilities. The tool also features a comprehensive set of indicators for physical accessibility. The final chapters are about human resource considerations and accessible complain mechanisms.
