Based on the First International Comparative Study of Language, Mathematics, and Associated Factors for Third and Fourth Grade Primary School Students, this second report contains a qualitative analysis of factors associated with academic achievement in schools in seven of the thirteen Latin American countries that participated in the first study.
Keeping in mind the limitations of a study of this type, the information it provides is useful for the formulation policies designed to improve the quality and equity of learning. With the Education authorities can utilize the information provided to formulate policies and strategies for improving school achievement.
