This UNESCO report, the first ever international study on engineering, includes contributions, case studies, examples of good practice and solutions to issues and challenges we face from a hundred leading engineers and commentators around the world. The report is intented for politicians, policy-makers, decision-takers, development planners, the engineering community and the wider public. It will be of interest to anyone who wants to better understand what engineers do, the role of engineering in human development and ways in which we can overcome the global challenges we face to make a better world.
