UNESCO Fellowships - A means to empowerment

UNESCO takes pleasure in introducing this booklet which is designed to

answer the questions, ‘What does UNESCO have to offer in the way of

fellowships, study and travel grants?’ and, ‘What are the principles and conditions

that govern UNESCO fellowships ?’ This booklet is meant for a broad readership

that may include primarily:

l Member States - in particular, Permanent Delegations, National Commissions for

UNESCO and other national bodies.

l Potential partners interested in contributing to UNESCO either funds or fellowships

(contribution-in-kind) for the purpose of enhancing human capacities. And,

l The recipients (beneficiaries) of these fellowships, study or travel grants.
