As a follow-up to the Shanghai Congress and the World Education Forum and as a prelude to the Asia-Pacific Conference on Education and Training (ACET), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 3 to 5 August 2015, UNESCO commissioned a regional study to review progress in the Asia-Pacific since the Shanghai Congress. The TVET Progress Review focuses on the issue of ‘relevance of TVET’, the first recommendation of the Shanghai Consensus and an essential component for tackling socio-economic challenges through TVET.
