UNESCO-UNEVOC at the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics

The World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) is an international network of colleges and national and regional associations of colleges.

At the invitation of its President, Shyamal Majumdar, Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, gave a keynote lecture on Transforming TVET in Challenging Times at the 2014 WFCP World Conference, hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange from 24 to 26 October 2014 in Beijing.

The WFCP conference brought together leaders of the applied higher education system to discuss the latest trends, topics and developments in this sector. This year’s conference theme was "Global Partnerships: Building a Better Future". The conference was organized in conjunction with the China Annual Conference for International Education. Majumdar also attended the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics’ board meeting.

On this occasion, Shyamal Majumdar also met with several representatives of UNEVOC Network members in China, among which the Director General of the Central Institute for Vocational and Technical Education (CIVTE), Ministry of Education, and several other UNEVOC Centres.
