The Role of Technical and Vocational Education in the Educational System in Ghana

The study briefly presents the economic and human resource situation in Ghana. It depicts the system of technical and vocational education of Ghana, its institutions and programmes, its finance, its links with industries, guidance and counselling, examinations and accreditation, and the informal sector. It explains problems and policies, including the gender issue, the efforts to enhance the status of technical and vocational education, and informs on international cooperation in this field.
