The objectives of the symposium were to increase the efficiency of TVE programmes within the educational systems of Member States in the Region and link such development to the world of work. Discussions during the symposium included the following topics: the role of TVE in educational systems; policies and legislation for TVE to enhance cooperation with the world of work; planning and administration of TVE to promote the access of girls and women in this field; regional and international cooperation on policy issues. The report also includes a set of recommendation on topics of discussion.
