Strenghtening the Training of Adult Educators: Learning from an Inter-regional Exchange of Experience

This volume examines the previously neglected domain of adult educator training as it has achieved greater visibility worldwide due to CONFINTEA V and its follow-up. It also points to the challenges involved in turning this new recognition into concrete policies and programmes of action. Analysis shows that not enough attention is being given to the training of adult educators in many national and regional agendas and that policies exist that are not always implemented. Strengthening the Training of Adult Educators proposes an agenda of future action to be undertaken prior to CONFINTEA VI, and suggests how to monitor and evaluate progress.
