Adult Learning and the Changing World of Work

Report on the Workshop Held at the CONFINTEA Mid-term Review Conference, Bangkok, Thailand, September 2003

Many existing education and training systems are seen as failing to support human and economic development, poverty alleviation and sustainable livelihoods. In thematizing the place of adult learning in the contemporary workplace, the present booklet focuses on reform programmes linking education and work. Featured are 11 contributions from a workshop on the topic at the CONFINTEA V Mid-term Review Meeting in Bangkok in 2003 along with common considerations and recommendations from the group.
