UNESCO-UNEVOC virtual conference: Measuring the return on investment in TVET

9 to 16 May 2016

The virtual conference sought to inform the wider technical and vocational education and training (TVET) community about a collaborative research project currently undertaken by the NCVER and UNESCO-UNEVOC which aims to explore the different benefits from investing in TVET and ways to measure the return on investment in TVET across a range of countries, and the virtual conference was an opportunity for the community to share their ideas, expertise and experiences with the research team.

The report provides an overview of the discussions that took place on the different threads and highlights some of the different themes and issues that were raised throughout the virtual conference. In particular, the report identifies a number of challenges in measuring and comparing return on investment, and the outcomes highlighted in the report will be used to further the NCVER’s collaborative research project with UNESCO-UNEVOC.

The virtual conference was attended by 230 experts from 63 countries.
