Youth and Employment in North Africa: A regional overview

This report provides a broad situational analysis for use by policy-makers, social partners and other key

stakeholders involved in the promotion of youth employment-related policies and programmes in North

Africa. Regional trends and features have been considered together with the country-specific contexts in

Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania and Sudan. It has been prepared as a background paper for

the conference on “Youth and Employment in North Africa” (YENA Conference), to be convened by the ILO

in Geneva in September 2017.
