The Transformation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Baltic States

Survey of Reforms and Developments

This publication critically examines VET structures and reforms in the Baltic States. The Baltic States are a source of enormous (human) potential that can greatly enrich Europe, and the countries have enjoyed special attention in European VET policy. Since they are among the newest members of the European Union, they are involved in the Copenhagen process.

This book aims to be of service to researchers and lecturers of VET in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. It is also useful in the broader context of VET internationalisation.

It appears in the “Book Series on Technical and Vocational Education and Training: Issues, Concerns and Prospects”, which is part of the “UNESCO-UNEVOC International Library of TVET”.
