World Bank Human Capital Index Scores

The Human Capital Index (HCI) database provides data at the country level for each of the components of the Human Capital Index as well as for the overall index, disaggregated by gender. The index measures the amount of human capital that a child born today can expect to attain by age 18, given the risks of poor health and poor education that prevail in their country of origin. It is designed to highlight how improvements in current health and education outcomes shape the productivity of the next generation of workers, assuming that children born today experience over the next 18 years the educational opportunities and health risks that children in this age range currently face. This report drawn for the YEM Knowledge Platform furnishes the aggregate Human Capital Index scores and education related sub-indicators.

Enterprise Surveys - World Bank

Enterprise Surveys provide firm-level data from over 125,000 establishments in 139 countries. Data are used to create over 100 indicators that benchmark the quality of the business environment across the globe. Each country is surveyed every 3 to 4 years. In addition to country-level aggregated data, firm-level data are available to registered users on the Enterprise Surveys site at http//www.enterprisesurveys.org/nada.
