Hack TUES is a three-day hackathon in Bulgaria that is organized by students for students. From fundraising, through to public relations campaigns and creating the event’s website, everything is done by students under the guidance of the TUES Alumni Association (AATUES).
The process of organizing the event is a long one. A dozen students from the 11th grade start working in September to organize the event that traditionally takes place in March. The event provides a unique opportunity for the organizing team of students to experience the real processes of logistics and planning. The students also experience the benefits and challenges of working in a team, as they contribute to the initial brainstorming sessions, find the necessary funds and participants, and finally organize the event.
