Project Assistant

Jessica joined the BILT Team in March 2022 at the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). In her capacity as a Project Assistant she supports the ‘Learning Line’. More specifically, she is responsible for organizing the BILT Learning Labs, helping to further develop the Self-Reflection Tool, and supporting public outreach and editing work in English.

Jessica has over fifteen years of experience working in higher education both within the private sector as well as at an international level. Previously Jessica worked for several years at the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS). During this time she managed and co-developed several educational programmes in the field of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, such as, an intensive training workshop, an international master, and young professionals’ visiting programmes. She also has experience managing partnership networks and has worked as an educator and facilitator. Since 2016 Jessica has been a doctoral research candidate at the University of Bonn and a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity (MPIMMG). Her research focuses on digital inequalities among migrants and its impact on life chances within Germany. Jessica holds a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies with a focus on Conflict Resolution.
