The Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education is a public institution, founded in June 2010 by the Act on Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education.
The Agency deals with professional development and training of VET teachers, through organisation and implementation of professional exams, implementation of procedures for their promotion, and organisation and implementation of professional trainings.
The Agency developed and implements Quality Assurance system in VET. The Agency is in charge of organisation and implementation of skills competitions and under the name of WorldSkills Croatia represents country in the WorldSkills Europe and WorldSkills International.
The Agency programs and implements international projects in VET and Adult Education, with total value (2019) of more than 45 mil EUR.
The Agency's vision is an accessible and flexible system of vocational and adult education, based on competencies, in the function of fulfilling the needs of each individual and society, the carrier of the economy development and greater employability. Its mission is to make education the strongest root of personal growth and success.
