UNEVOC Centre (National Body) since 1995
The National Office of Vocational Education and Training and Adult Learning (NOVETAL) is the background institution of the Ministry for National Economy. NOVETAL conducts, initiates, organizes and coordinates regional and nationwide research activities. It provides professional support to experiments, research and the implementation of innovative efforts initiated or performed by teachers or institutions engaged in TVET, while it pursues the continuous development of the vocational structure.
Serving TVET and adult learning.
NOVETAL conducts, initiates, organizes and coordinates regional and nationwide research activities. It provides professional support to experiments, research and the implementation of innovative efforts initiated or performed by teachers or institutions engaged in VET, while it pursues the continuous development of the vocational structure.
NOVETAL develops the draft National Qualification Register, prepares it for approval and publication, monitors its implementation and makes proposals concerning its amendment or updating process.
It also provides for the continuous development of the contents of VET:
The Institute operates the National Reference Point and manages the Europass certificate supplements. It is the appointed National Observatory, the national reference point for ECVET and EQAVET as well.
It is responsible for licencing adult education activities and provides information and data on these activities and licenced programmes. It operates the Adult Education and Training Expert Committee and also operates the database of national adult education and training experts.
From 2015 more than 500 vocational secondary schools operate under the professional and financial management of the institute.
