Center for Vocational Education of Uzbekistan

UNEVOC Centre (National Body) since 2005

The Center is a nation-wide governmental institution in the field of vocational education. The Center is responsible for elaboration, coordination, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the National Programme for Personnel Training in the field of vocational (secondary specialized and vocational) education. Particularly, the Center is in charge of legal framework development, curriculum design, textbook production, teacher-training, management and cooperation network with local and international stakeholders in vocational education. There are 14 branches of the Center in every region of Uzbekistan and more than 1500 institutional establishments. It is admitted about 500 thousand students every years to the system of SSVE as it is compulsory type of education in the republic. The Center, within its structure, has the Institute for Upgrading of Qualification and Re-Training of Specialists in Vocational Education and also Informational-methodical Center.

Regular tasks

To train pupils on chosen professions, to train foreign languages, implementation to the SSVE system information technologies and the best practices of training, teaching graduates entrepreneurship skills (as commercial banks in the country give soft loans for vocational college graduates).
