UNESCO-UNEVOC invited photographers from around the world to capture unique moments highlighting skills in action. We received more than 200 submissions showing how TVET equips young people with skills for sustainable societies and economies.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Skills in Action Photo Competition 2022.
Photographer's caption: It is worth educating wind farm specialists. Wind turbines do not pollute the natural environment. Wind is a renewable energy source, thanks to which we save on fuel, mining and transport processes. The photo shows a young wind turbine technician.
Photographer's caption: Vietnamese people increasingly use bamboo in architecture and life, making it more environmentally friendly and bringing high economic value to rural people.
Photographer's caption: 'Solar bowl' on the roof of Auroville solar kitchen. This collective kitchen provides steam for cooking on all sunny days for about 1000 people. The international township of Auroville at southern India has the highest concentration of alternative energy systems in the country.
