Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) provides support to UNESCO, UNESCO-UNEVOC, as well as many other international, regional, and national TVET actors. Through the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training, BMBF also sponsors TVET projects in many coutries outside of Germany, for example the UNESCO-UNEVOC Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) Project.

On federal level, BMBF is responsible for Germany's dual system of vocational education and training which is highly recognized worldwide due to its combination of theory in the classroom and training in a real-life work environment.
