This is the final report on the initial workshop held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 5 to 8 December 2000. At this workshop, the initiative “Learning for Life, Work and the Future: Stimulating Reform in Southern Africa through Subregional Co operation” was launched. The report includes a summary report on the workshop proceedings, the main working document, the opening speeches, the project proposals for subregional cooperation in TVET that were elaborated during the workshop, and summaries of 27 documents that were prepared by participants from Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
