Guide to TVET Donor Agencies

International cooperation agencies have different approaches, methodologies, planning horizons, communication levels, financial regulations and submission and reporting procedures. This guide provides an overview of technical backstopping opportunities for development projects and programmes. It focuses especially on support services for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and skills development.

The guide Agencies for International Cooperation in TVET: A Guide to Sources of Information (published 2006) focuses on the 22 national agencies that are members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which are major donors in development cooperation.

It is intended to facilitate access to information on:

  • current trends in international cooperation policies;
  • potential donors and their policies;
  • donors’ requirements concerning project definition, project and budget management, assessment and evaluation techniques, and of reporting regulations.
You can download the guide as a PDF document (900kb).

Partners in development cooperation are encouraged to give their observations, comments and suggestions to the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, so that new information and insights can be added.
