The 2019 National Forum on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Reform, co-organized by UNESCO Beijing Office, UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre, UNESCO Section of Youth, Literacy and Skills Development, Mongolian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP), and the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO
, focused on “Quality TVET Reform for Sustainable Development”. During the event, participants reviewed and discussed the current alignment, gaps and challenges in Mongolia’s TVET sector policy and regulatory framework, as well as the strategies, plans, global priorities, and framework.
UNESCO invited experts from the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and the global UNEVOC network to share best practices in TVET that are aligned to the demands of the labour market. Seven UNEVOC Centres participated in the forum, including:
