Intermediate skills refer to the jobs classified by the International Labour Organization (ILO) as skill level 2 and skill level 3:
Skill level 2: These occupations generally require relatively advanced literacy and numeracy skills for the purposes of reading instruction manuals, recording information or events and performing routine calculations.
Skill level 3: These typically involve the performance of complex, practical tasks that require extensive knowledge of a specific field. These occupations require a high level of literacy and numeracy and welldeveloped interpersonal skills.
