Toolkits for TVET providers

This online platform was launched in 2022 to provide TVET stakeholders and practitioners with information on, and access to, online, free-to-use toolkits. Multiple toolkits for TVET providers/practitioners have been, and continue to be, created. The purpose of such toolkits ranges from facilitating TVET providers' 'self-reflection' on aspects of their provision to quantitative performance assessments. Some toolkits have a thematic focus (e.g. on digitalization or greening) whereas others have an organizational focus. For some themes, there are multiple toolkits, for example to assess and/or reflect upon teacher/trainer training needs. The purpose of this database is to bring the many and varied toolkits into one place and to provide a guide and resource for:
  • TVET practitioners seeking a ready-made guide or self-assessment tool on themes such as digitalization, greening and inclusion; and
  • researchers and policy makers seeking to design new organizational assessment tools for their TVET providers.

Open Education Resources (OER) Toolkits Copyright and Licensing Toolkit

This toolkit is part of a series produced by OER Africa. Others in the series include toolkits on 'Course Design and Materials', 'Policy Review and Development', and 'Supporting Distance Learning'. This toolkit on copyright and licensing is aimed at higher education stakeholders working on Open Educational Resources (OER). It explains the meaning of copyright and describes the different licensing options available to the author/creator of a work. The toolkit provides information on the basic concepts in copyright and licensing, the types of open licenses that exist and tools and techniques to provide support.
